Small, lantern-shaped pods delivering fruity, tropical heat with a signature apricot-and-citrus note. 100,000 to 350,000 SHU. Sun-dried in Uganda for hot sauce makers, salsa producers, and Mexican-Caribbean food brands worldwide.
Habanero originates in the Amazon basin and travelled north through the Caribbean and into the Yucatán, where it became — and remains — the anchor chili of Mexican hot sauce and salsa. The pods are small (2–6 cm), lantern-shaped, and famous for their fruity, floral, tropical-fruit note that reads clearly through the heat.
Our Uganda-grown Habanero is sun-dried whole, sorted for consistent orange-red colour, and offered in whole, flake, and fine-powder formats — a workhorse chili for craft sauce brands, salsa producers, and food manufacturers building fruity heat into their formulations.
The defining chili of Yucatecan cooking — cochinita pibil, salsa habanera, and the ubiquitous xnipec table salsa.
Habanero-mango, Habanero-pineapple, Habanero-carrot — the base chili for fruit-forward hot sauce brands worldwide.
Used across Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico for adobo pastes, jerks, and grilled-meat marinades.
